You: An experienced Generalist/Founders Associate with a wide array of primary and secondary skills.

💼 The Role

You'll be deployed to early-stage startups to support founders in mapping and realising their vision. You’ll take ownership of key tasks and projects, and design the necessary processes to ensure that our clients can breathe a little easier. No task or responsibility is off-limits when it comes to bringing their ideas to fruition. You'll do the big and the boring; everything from creating grand growth strategies to collating documents.

You'll work across:

Growth & Business Development, People & Culture, Operations & Finance, Marketing & Brand, Investor relations & board management + anywhere else they need you.

Your number 1 job is to enable them to do more, and get there faster. Once you've done the job, you'll be deployed to your next startup.

💻 What you could be doing

The very nature of this job means we can't say for sure what you'll be doing, as that will depend on the needs of our specific clients. You'll need to be able to cover all the bases. Anything that needs doing, you'll get stuck into. Here are some examples based on the work we've done in the past:

  • Developing business plans and defining the company's mission, vision, and values
  • Conducting market research to identify target customers, competitors, and market trends
  • Building a minimum viable product (MVP) to test product-market fit
  • Conducting growth experiments to identify viable growth channels
  • Creating a brand identity, including a logo, website, and marketing materials
  • Developing a sales strategy and building a sales pipeline
  • Creating financial projections and helping to manage cash flow
  • Help with legal stuff like registering the company
  • Building a team, including hiring employees, contractors, and freelancers
  • Developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various functions within the company, such as accounting, marketing, and customer service
  • Managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts
  • Developing partnerships and collaborations with other businesses
  • Raising capital through crowdfunding, angel investors, or venture capital firms
  • Scaling the business by expanding product lines, entering new markets, and developing new revenue streams
  • Managing growth by tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjusting strategies as needed
  • Building a strong company culture that fosters collaboration, innovation, and creativity.

  • You prefer to gather information first before coming to conclusions or offering your thoughts
  • You’re adept at making assessments quickly and identifying the best course of action.
  • You don’t mind asking questions, and providing critical analysis when it’s needed
  • You’ll have a proven aptitude to manage many competing projects and priorities.
  • You have at least 1 year of experience in operations or as a project manager/founders associate at a high-growth startup

🚀 Even better if you have

  • Experience founding a startup
  • Experience in growth hacking / growth marketing
  • A background in marketing / creative industries
  • A healthy track record of starting and scaling projects
  • At least 2 years experience

💬 Our Interview Process

  • First Interview: We'll ask you questions about your experiences and ways of working. You can ask us questions about the company and the role.
  • Assignment Stage + Final Interview: This interview evaluates the skills required for the role. You'll meet with more of our team, and you'll be asked to complete a presentation or task. We'll also do a deep dive into your experiences, goals, motivations, and skills.
